Feng Shui Your Finances

When the stock market, your 401K, the value of your home all sink into an abyss, perhaps you should say, "Feng Shui it!" File this one under "it couldn't hurt" and know you're attempting what some of the rich and famous have already embraced to some degree. Madonna and Boy George for a start, but you expected that. How about Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, and Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York City to name a few?

Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese philosophy to create harmony in your surroundings.
The words literally mean wind and water and these two control "chi" which is the breath of life. Balancing chi is a good thing, not only good for your health, but also your wealth. Got your attention?

Before we cha-cha for chi-chi, I picked up the phone and called Jennifer Ellen Frank, a Feng Shui consultant in New York City. www.jenniferfrank.com The interior designer had a previous career as a textile designer and logged a lot of miles flying back and forth to China, during which she grew curious about eastern differences in both home and office. Jennifer gave me a do-at-home list to Feng Shui my way to fat cat city.

#1-Place a mirror at the entrance of your home to pull in chi for opportunity for those who live there. If you have stairs flowing straight to the front door, your money leaves very quickly. Slow this down with pictures along the wall and plants at the bottom of the steps.

#2-Keep your kitchen clean and uncluttered. If you can set up the stove so the cook can see the door. If the stove is already in place, put a mirror behind the stove. That way four burners become eight for multiplication of wealth.

#3-Repair all leaks in the kitchen and bathrooms to prevent money from going down the drain. By the same logic, and males family members take note, keep the toilet lid down to prevent money from being flushed away.

#4-Use the colors purple, red and green to support prosperity energy. Enhance this energy with the placement of a still life of a mountain and water.

#5-Pull that old lava lamp out of storage or purchase a new one. The undulating motions, or for that matter anything electronic or moving, help keep money circulating in your life.

#6-Get a fountain and/or goldfish. These represent the flowing of money to you.

#7-Display symbols of wealth around your home. Money and gold objects, even coins will do. If you can locate one, put out a gold Chinese Money Frog. This is a three-legged statue of a frog or toad with a coin in its mouth.

#8-Frame and hang up a picture of a million dollar bill. You can get a fake one online and that's okay. The symbol, even "Monopoly" game money provides visual reference for circulating prosperity.

#9-Also, cut out pictures of luxury items from magazines. Try a Porsche, an amazing country house, and a yacht. These represent the aspiration of "having it all" and are magnets for positive energy.

#10-Put a jade plant on the table. The jade plant is the Chinese version of a money tree.

Some things you may not be able to change. If you can, put your home office, in theory where you make money, in the southeast corner of your house. If that's not possible, put money or a symbol of money on the southeast corner of your desk. If possible, position your desk to see the door and a view of the outside. A desk with rounded corners is best. Make sure the chair backs up against a solid wall. You don't need Feng Shui to get that one. When it comes to money these days, watch your back.

916已經過去了，天沒有變，安華又宣佈新的日期923。換句話說，變天的日期又展延了一個星期。
過去一個星期，可以說是震動性的。916雖沒有發生，但世界金融市場卻經歷了一場浩劫。
美國出手救美國國際集團（AIG）並沒有紓解市場對“金融海嘯”的憂慮，反而加深恐懼，擔心更多大型金融機構“出問題”，在信心潰堤下，賣盤傾巢而出。

亞股急滑3%至8%

導致美國和歐洲股市在金融股崩潰下率先暴挫2至4%，亞洲投資情緒崩盤，市場完全忽視基本面的沽售，令亞股急滑3%至8%。
驚見股市出現“不理性”的沽售活動，全球政府紛紛喊話救市穩定軍心，全球6大中行，包括美國、日本、加拿大、瑞士、英國和歐洲中行表示將合力拯救市場，而部份亞洲政府更直接進場干預，力挽狂瀾，使大部份亞洲股市9月18日午盤止停回穩。
東南亞曾是風暴中心，而東南亞5國（大馬、新加坡、泰國、印尼及菲律賓）中行表示，5國外匯儲高達5000億元，足以抵擋任何風暴的襲擊，大馬和泰國的外匯儲備都超過1000億美元，而且卻是公債和黃金等穩定的資產。政府的信心喊話和進場干預，讓投資情緒穩住，東南亞股市也9月18日（周四）在午盤止停，新加坡和印尼股市更回升。

全球中行力抗浩劫

上週五的股市大力反彈，因為全球政府力抗浩劫，主要中行聯手救市，共同挹注近3000億美元，解決市場嚴峻的流動性問題，加上市場傳出美國政府可能成立獨立新機構來吸收壞賬，投資軍心大受振奮。
週五，在全球6大行出手後，美英表示會管制放空交易，亞洲政府也出動，台灣的5000億台幣護盤基金進場，中國更祭出降印花稅和政府基金直接進場扶主要銀行股的措施。
市場臆測，各國政府將繼續採取措施，避免更多金融機構倒閉。韓國和日本，除了注資，也準備拯救股市的措施。
全球各大金融監管機構為穩定市場，相繼宣佈限制賣空活動，其中美國證管會將考慮要求對沖基金揭露股票的放空部份；英國金融服務署到年底前卻禁止放空金融股，加州公務員退休系統及紐約州共同退休基金也決定停止借票給放空人士。
馬股雖在週四及週五已經強力反彈，但由於外圍股市短期仍難走出經濟困局，加上國內政治不明朗因素彌漫，馬股仍未逃離熊市範圍。

期望公佈系列救市措施

人們目前殷切的期望看到新任財長拿督斯里納吉，在本週一公布的一系列救市措施。
納吉將於本週一上午在財政部出席一項匯報會，並於中午召開記者會。
他在9月19日受詢時說：“我必須與國家銀行及股票交易所商議後，才能成出宣佈。在現階段，政府將繼續推行財政預算案所宣佈的政策，以協助人民。”
9月17日，首相拿督斯里阿都拉峇達威與副首相納吉，調換防長與財長職位，納吉擔任財長，而拿督斯里阿都拉則擔任防長。
有人說這是首相在2010年移交政權的一個布署，當然，其它人會有不同想法。
9月17日，沙巴人民進步黨也宣佈退出國陣。
民主行動黨雪州高級行政議員郭素沁遭警方援引內安法令逮捕長達一週後，於9月19日（周五）中午獲釋。
目前仍被扣留者有《今日大馬》網站主編拉惹佩特拉。
股市未來相信會相當波動，因此股友有很多進場的機會，假如股友是短線交易者，就好好掌握有什麼消息股是可以注意的呢？

其一，商業高峰（PUNCAK，6807，主板基建計劃組）因購商業高峰（馬）私人有限公司（PNSB）股權以持有100%股權，市場揣測這項回購是集團自行重組，以準備全面脫售的先兆，造成股價大熱，股價揚升5.7%。
其二，科技聯合（HTPADU，5028，主板科技組）接獲大馬政府頒發一項總值達4426萬8730令吉的延續合約，以為陸路交通局維護電腦系統。
其三，TRC協作（TRC，5054，主板建築組）獲得汶萊政府批准，在當地進行石油儲備和提煉計劃。
其四，嘉年發展（MUTIARA，5043，主板產業組）截至2008年7月31日止首季，凈利增長166.3%至583萬4000令吉，前期為219萬令吉。
其五，海鴻企業（HAIO，7668，主板貿服組）截至2008年7月31日止首季，集團凈利增加78.9%至1360萬2000令吉，前期為760萬3000令吉。

美或立法移除不良資產

上週五，美國道瓊斯指數升368.75點，報11388.44點。
納斯達克指數也起74.80點，報2273.90點。
為了改革金融機構的資產體質，美國財政部長保爾森和聯儲局主席伯南克推動國會立法，協助金融機構將房貸相關的不良資產，從資產負債表上移除。
